Rank: SS Rottenfuhrer.
This Division served on the Eastern Front until surrendering in 1945.
The uniform consists of;
A black einheitsmutze (ski cap) with the totenkopf (death’s head) insignia at the front and an eagle at the side. Goggles are worn on the cap. A camouflage smock in Plane Tree Pattern (spring) is worn and this smock covers the Black Panzer Wrap (indicating panzer troop). Small binoculars are worn around the neck and the rank along with the SS insignia is displayed on the collar of the wrap. A black leather belt is worn around the waist and is adorned with a green coloured SS buckle that holds a holster containing a P08 (Luger pistol). The trousers are of 44 Pea pattern design HBT (Herring Bone Tweed) material. The boots are Jack Boots that have been cut down and are designed to make the embarkation to and the alighting of the panzer easier than traditional boots. The weapon carried is an MP40 which was used extensively by panzer troops. |
