WW2 SS Helferinnenkorps.

SS- Helferinnenkorps (Womens Helper Corps).

These women were volunteers who joined the SS as auxiliary personnel. They were not considered SS members as the SS was closed to women. These women mainly took on administrative roles, logistics and also acted as female guards in concentration camps. This SS Helferin wears a Black Wound Badge (possibly wounded during an air raid). The black wound badge indicates she has received one or two wounds. She also wears a pin badge bearing the SS motto Meine Heisst Treue (My Honour is Loyalty). The whip she carries indicates her duties may involve guarding prisoners housed in concentration camps.
