Uniforms and personal kit go a long way toward creating the illusion of the time period and setting that we recreate when we put on an event. Each re-enacting member of the GMRG is expected to obtain and maintain one or more uniforms and kit to participate in events and re-enactments.
Experienced members have a wealth of knowledge about the uniforms from different eras, and are happy to help new members to "kit up".
